Everything starts in January of 2023, When Holly and Gus spent 2 months in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, having a little break of an extremely cold winter in Minnesota. During this time, Holly tried for the first time an authentic Brazilian Acai in Ipanema Beach. Holly could not stop eating that. Every day she had to have a Cup of Acai after Beach time. Holly was fascinated with Brazilian Acai Shops, taking pictures of the interior places and menus. Living this enjoyable time in Rio de Janeiro, Holly and Gus started to have an idea about to open their own Acai Shop in Holly’s Hometown. So, after getting back to the US, this idea turned to a Business Plan. On June 9th of 2023, Rio Acai is inaugurated in Baxter, Minnesota. The authentic flavor of Brazilian acai now is part of Minnesota.
